Manitowoc County Division of Emergency Services

Department of Emergency Management & Joint Dispatch Center

Manitowoc County, Wisconsin

The purpose of the Joint Dispatch Center is to serve as an essential link between the public and any police, fire, or EMS assistance that they may need.  To work as a team to ensure that public safety is never compromised, that our customers receive help in a professional and timely manner and that the agencies we serve will be met with excellence when we are called upon.

One of the services they provide to the residents of Manitowoc County is Enhanced 9-1-1, which supplies dispatchers with the name, address, and emergency service provider(s) for each particular address; making the response to each incident quicker & more efficient.  They also have the capability for wireless 9-1-1, which means a person calling with a cellular telephone and in line of sight of the satellites, can be located on a map, to identify their location if they are not sure where they are.
